Reims – Welcome to Barons de Rothschild

It was such a pleasure to welcome for the very first time Lei Meng and her team to visit the cellars and the headquarter of Champagne Barons de Rothschild. Lei, the Chinese Ambassador of Champagne, shares her time between France to China to promote the terroir and organized the first 100% Champagne event few months ago in Shanghai, which was a real success. We started this meeting by a visit of the cellars in Vertus and a tasting of three still wines (Pinot Noir 2018 from Versenay , Chardonnay 2017 and 2018 from Le Mesnil-sur-Orger) and the cuvée Extra Brut with our Chef de Cave Guillaume Lete. At lunch time, we headed to our private mansion in Reims to enjoy a really nice Champagne and food pairing, and discuss about the second Champagne fair coming up soon this year. We are really looking forward to that!
