Under a radiant sun, in front of the Ocean and the snowy Vancouver mountains, 177 domains, 14 Countries, 52 French Houses were present to welcome thousands of enthusiasts restaurant owners, journalists, wine merchants, private individuals for these 4 days of the end of February. This 36th edition was dedicated in priority to French wines in particular with a focus on the champagne. In the side of the most beautiful houses, the champagnes Barons of Rothschild made praised by a public always more numerous from day to day, approximately 2 500 to 3 000 aficionados of the champagne passed at Rothschild to taste the brut, the blanc de blancs and the rosé. Seminars with themes interrupted them ” trade tasting “, On this occasion Frederic Mairesse Barons de Rothschild’s managing director intervened on the notion of terroirs and crus to explain these values so important within the assemblages in the Champagne process.
