All transactions on our e-boutique are subject to these terms and conditions, which prevail over any conditions of purchase.
Selling alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18 is forbidden. By placing an order, you confirm that you are aged of 18 years old or over.
Any access and/or use of this website champagne-bdr.com/shop-uk/ implies the full, unconditional and unreserved acceptance of all the terms of these general terms and conditions of use.
All prices quoted on this website are inclusive of UK VAT. All prices indicated on this site are in Euros and payments are also proceeded in Euros.
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that all pricing information on this website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and the price of goods may be incorrect. If we discover a pricing error, we may, at our discretion, either contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the correct price, or inform you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.
We reserve the right to adjust prices, quotations, goods and specifications of goods at our discretion at any time before accepting your order. Where an end date is specified for an offer on the website, it is given as a guide only. Champagne Barons de Rothschild reserves the right to change prices at any time.
Payment of the order shall be made solely by credit card, and the Purchaser must be the owner of the card used. Other means of payment (cheques, cash, etc.) are not accepted.
Cardholders will be subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.
We will not deliver any Products prior to these checks and authorisations being completed. If your card issuer refuses to authorise payment to us, we cannot accept your order.
The products are available on the website of the Champagne Barons de Rothschild SCBA boutique.
Each product is provided with a technical data sheet comprising a visual and detailing its main characteristics. However, the visuals are not contractual and are provided for information purposes only.
The products presented on the e-boutique are available for England territory. The Buyer wishing to have products delivered to other destinations must write to us and a specific quotation can be established.
SCBA reserves the right to remove any product from the online sale. In the event of a stock shortage, a mention “Out of stock” is indicated on the Site. If a product is nevertheless unavailable after the Purchaser has placed an order, the SCBA undertakes to inform the Purchaser as soon as possible and may offer the Purchaser, at its discretion and at no additional cost, replacement by an equivalent product, cancellation of the entire order, or shipment of the only available products. Any amount received for unavailable products and their possible shipping costs will be reimbursed to the Buyer within fourteen (14) days if the Buyer’s request for reimbursement.
Placing an order anywhere on our website does not constitute a contract; a contract will only be concluded when the order is registered, payment has been accepted and the goods are delivered.
If your order has been unsuccessful you will be made aware of the reason why and any possible explanations. Each party shall be responsible for any errors in its messaging or ordering.
The products are not sold on a sale or return or exchange basis. We are unable to guarantee any minimum best before dates unless arranged prior to dispatch. If ordering for a specific date of consumption please call and check first. Products may only be returned upon the suppliers’ written approval, in their original packaging and condition, within date with carriage paid.
We reserve the right not to accept an order in the event of non-payment, late payment, partial payment, rejection the means of payment or opposition to payment of the bank account holder but also in the event of a previous dispute relating to the payment of a previous order or in the event of an abnormal order, placed in bad faith or issued from countries not covered by the these GTC. In this case, SCBA will inform the Purchaser.
All goods proposed are subject to availability.
For all orders under 600€ including VAT, standard delivery in England is charged at a flat rate of 30€ including VAT. Above that, delivery is free in England.
For delivery requests outside England within Great Britain or foreign countries, please contact us for a quotation by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will do our utmost to meet a reasonable delivery deadline, but we accept no responsibility for goods not arriving due to circumstances we consider to be beyond our control.
Our shipper will endeavour to deliver or arrange delivery without undue delay of the goods in the quantities ordered to the address requested.
We shall not be liable for any delay to deliveries of orders awaiting notification from customers due to issues with their order, late delivery, non-delivery or variation in quantities delivered and in particular, shall be entitled to adjust quantities delivered to you where insufficient stock is available to complete or order.
We cannot be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss (all three of which terms include, without limitation, pure economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and similar loss), costs, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the products.
The Purchaser may at any time follow the progress of his delivery by calling SCBA customer service.
On the day of delivery, it is the Purchaser’s responsibility to check the integrity of his delivery and in the event of an anomaly, to note reservations on the receipt slip. Without a clear, precise and complete reservation, the SCBA cannot be held responsible and will not be able to take charge of any breaches or breakages. It is then up to the Purchaser to notify SCBA customer service as soon as possible.
The transfer of ownership of the Products is only made when SCBA has received full payment of all amounts due in relation to the Order.
We will provide a full refund or replacement for any defective wine. This does not affect your statutory rights. We may require defective bottles to be returned to us and will contact you to organize pick up.
All credits or refunds for unwanted items will be issued within 14 days after the goods have been received back with us, other than the payments for delivery. Refunds for the goods received back will not be issued where there are signs of tampering or damage which in any way diminish and render the goods unsaleable.
Prevention of crime
For the purposes of the prevention or detection of crime, and/or the apprehension or prosecution of offenders, we may share any information we collect with the police, other public or private sector agencies or representative bodies in accordance with applicable legislation. Information shared in this way will not be used for marketing purposes.
If you have a complaint, please send an email to email@example.com giving as much detail as possible. All complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and you can expect your complaint to be fully resolved within 72 hours. You will be informed if there is a delay beyond this time. Each complaint will be treated confidentially and will be reviewed by a senior manager.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France and any disputes shall be decided solely by the French courts.
